Table Nomade brings the elegance of international cuisine to Washington, DC. Led by a sommelier and a culinary team with global inspiration, we curate boutique dining experiences with refined dishes and perfectly paired wines. Every event is designed to delight the senses and tell a story of taste without borders.

Table Nomade was founded by longtime friends Scott Calvert and Jean-Philippe Chartol, who have been preparing meals together for more than 20 years. What began as a friendship built around the table — cooking for family, friends, and each other — has grown into a boutique catering company that brings refined cuisine and sommelier-led wine pairings to Washington, DC.

Scott Calvert — Sommelier & Culinary Craftsman
Scott brings more than two decades of hospitality expertise, from Sommelier at The River Café in New York to Wine Director at The Inn at Little Washington, one of America’s most celebrated restaurants. He has also worked as a Fine Wine Specialist and General Manager at acclaimed DC restaurants, blending technical mastery with operational excellence. While best known as a sommelier, Scott is also an accomplished cook, recognized for his perfectly prepared steaks, bold seasoning, and refined sauces. His food is defined by balance, depth of flavor, and an ability to elevate the simplest ingredients into extraordinary dishes.

Jean-Philippe Chartol — Culinary Artisan
Born in Paris, raised in the French Caribbean, and deeply influenced by his Breton heritage, Jean-Philippe grew up with a unique culinary foundation. From his grandmother, he learned to make Breton crêpes and later mastered the iconic kouign amann pastry. From his Caribbean upbringing, he carries specialties like lambi (conch), accras (saltfish fritters), colombo (curried goat), and chatrou (octopus stew). He also embraces French showpieces such as beef Wellingtonlangouste à l’armoricaine, refined mussels, and a richly braised osso buco. His cooking blends classical French refinement with vibrant Caribbean influences, bringing warmth and originality to Table Nomade’s repertoire.
